President Barack Obama has wished his wife Michelle a happy 53rd birthday, as they prepare to bid the White House farewell.
He posted a tweet commemorating the event — his last ever “birthday post” as President of the United States.
Obama: To the girl from the South Side who took on a role she didn't ask for and made it her own: Happy Birthday, Michelle. I love you.
The tweet features a behind-the-scenes image of the pair sitting on the back of a golf cart while dressed for the Inaugural Ball held in Washington DC on January 20, 2009.
